The MOCAP database collected by the Graphics Laboratory at the Carnegie Mellon University was generated from infrared cameras, which record some infrared markers on the human body during various activities. Compared with the empirical mathematical parameterization model that is limited in describing various human gaits, i.e., the Boulic model such database is able to describe the motion characteristics of much more human gaits and complex activities, e.g., crawling, running, jumping, and so on
